Rastah clothing brand in Pakistan: what it is, what it costs, and the cheaper path
Updated 23 October 2026 · 7 min read

Rastah is a luxury streetwear brand founded in Lahore in 2018 by Zain Ahmad and his cousins, known for hand-loomed fabric, block prints and embroidery, and worn by names like Riz Ahmed and Anil Kapoor. On its Pakistan store in October 2026, t-shirts list from about Rs. 12,000 and hoodies from about Rs. 37,000. If you want the oversized streetwear look without that price, RAAH makes oversized graphic tees in Karachi for Rs. 2,099 to Rs. 3,000.
If you typed "Rastah" into Google and landed here, a quick note first: RAAH is not Rastah. We are a separate, much smaller streetwear label from Karachi. The two names sound alike because both are Urdu words for the road — راستہ and راہ — and we get the question often enough that we wrote this guide. It covers what Rastah is, what it actually costs, and where to go if the price is out of reach.
What is Rastah?
Rastah is a Pakistani luxury streetwear brand started in Lahore in 2018. Zain Ahmad is the creative director; he founded it with his cousins Ismail and Adnan Ahmad. The original plan was to sell Pakistani hand-woven fabric. That turned into clothing that puts South Asian craft — hand looms, wood-block printing, embroidery, work by artisans from across the country — onto Western streetwear shapes like bombers, oversized tees and hoodies. The name is the Urdu word for a road or path; we explain it, with spellings and pronunciation, in Rastah meaning.
It is the one Pakistani streetwear name with real international reach. Zain Ahmad was on the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2022 and has since been named to the Business of Fashion's BoF 500. In 2023 Rastah became the first Pakistani brand shown at London Fashion Week. Riz Ahmed and Anil Kapoor are among the people who have worn it. Most of its sales are international, which is why the main store prices in US dollars.
What Rastah makes
- Jackets and bombers — the largest part of the range, often patchworked or embroidered.
- T-shirts — garment-dyed logo tees, screen prints, hand-printed pieces and patch tees, mostly in an oversized cut.
- Hoodies and sweatshirts — heavy fleece, usually with embroidery or appliqué.
- Button-downs, sweatpants, trousers, sweaters, vests and long coats in smaller numbers.
Rastah price in Pakistan (October 2026)
This is the question most people actually have. We read the prices on Rastah's public Pakistan store on 23 October 2026. Here is the band for each category.
| Category | Price band (PKR) | Note |
|---|---|---|
| T-shirts | Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 69,400 | Most tees sit around Rs. 24,000 – 27,000; the basic garment-dyed logo tee is the cheapest at Rs. 12,000 |
| Hoodies | Rs. 37,400 – Rs. 85,400 | Heavy embroidered pieces at the top of the band |
| Jackets and bombers | Rs. 85,000 upwards | Signature patchwork and embroidered jackets go well into six figures |
| International store | From about US$70 for a tee | Free worldwide shipping above a set order value; Pakistan shipping listed as free |
These are indicative bands read from public listings on one day. Rastah releases in drops and runs sales, so check the brand's own product page before you buy. Rastah's prices are not set by us and we have no connection to the brand.
Why is Rastah so expensive?
Three things. First, the craft: hand-loomed cloth, block printing and embroidery are slow, skilled work, and Rastah pays artisans to do it. Second, the runs are small, so each design carries more of the design and sampling cost. Third, it is positioned as luxury and sold mostly abroad, so the rupee price follows the dollar price. You are paying for design and craft, not for cotton. That is a fair trade if you want one considered piece you will keep for years. It is a different purchase from a tee you wear three times a week. The longer version, with all six cost drivers and the current prices, is in why Rastah is so expensive.
Is Rastah worth it?
If you collect design-led streetwear, care about the story behind a piece and can spend Rs. 25,000 on a t-shirt, yes — there is nothing else from Pakistan at that level. If you want an oversized tee with a strong graphic that fits well, washes well and costs what a tee should, the honest answer is that most of Rastah's price is going to things you will not notice in daily wear. Our 7-point t-shirt quality check explains what you can actually feel in a tee — fabric weight, stitching, print method — and none of it needs a five-figure price.
Rastah vs RAAH: not the same brand
RAAH (راہ, "the path") is an independent label from Karachi. We make oversized, drop-shoulder cotton tees with original artwork and sell them only on raahpk.com. We are not owned by, linked to, or copying Rastah. The side-by-side — city, price, fit, fabric, delivery — is in Rastah vs RAAH.
The cheaper path: oversized streetwear under Rs. 3,000
If what drew you to Rastah is the oversized silhouette, Urdu script on the chest and bold back prints, that look exists at a tenth of the price. Every RAAH tee is cut oversized with dropped shoulders, and flat chest and length measurements are printed on each product page.
- RAAH Maroon Signature Tee — Rs. 2,149. Urdu راہ chest logo, white RAAH back print. Talha Anjum wore it on stage in Lahore.
- Toji Oversized Tee — Rs. 2,099. Anime-inspired black tee with a large back print.
- Mountain Silence Tee and Midnight Route Tee — Rs. 2,800 each. Our heavier in-house art prints.
- Scuderia Ferrari Oversized Tee — Rs. 3,000. The top of our range.
- Football tees — Rs. 2,099. Messi 10, Neymar Jr, Ronaldo 7 and the Brazil tee.
